Wow – look at this shiny new website!
Thank you for finding your way to this page – Izak and I would like to take this chance to say welcome and to point out a couple of things to get you started.
If you’re still a bit curious about Epic 14 Days and what we’re trying to do here – the about page gives a pretty good summary and tells you a little about who we are.
You might have already seen our intro video that we recorded in our back yard a couple of weeks ago… I sent it to everyone who had signed up for the newsletter, and then posted it on the Epic 14 Days Facebook page a few days ago, but if you haven’t seen it, here it is… just keep in mind it’s our first ever attempt at creating a video. There are plenty of things we can do better, but I think it worked out kind of cool… and the editing was completely done by Izak – he’s only 11yo (and did a fantastic job… better than I could have done!)
I encourage you to read through and follow along with our 6 part blog series on how to start your own website. Part 1 gets you started creating your first site (for free) in under 2 minutes). You get a pdf version of this post if you sign up to the newsletter, but the other 5 parts are all new and will give you a nice jump start in figuring out how to start your own website.
Finally, a couple of things to look out for:
- Every 2nd Monday I’ll post a status update on how things are going at Epic14Days.com – it’s going to review what we achieved in the last 14 days, talk a little about how things are going and go over the plan for the next 14 days. It’s the site concept on show every two weeks! Plan > Implement > Review > Repeat (the first status report will come out next Monday and talk about our site launch, which in case you haven’t picked it is our current 14 day goal!)
- Next week we are going to start looking at different ways to make money online. I plan to start looking at all the different business models, talk about which ones we’re targeting over the short-medium term and maybe dive a bit deeper into Affiliate Marketing.
We really hope you like what we’ve started to put together here, but we don’t want things to just be about us, we want to hear about you too… the last thing we want to do is just ramble on and post into a vacuum on things that don’t actually help anyone. So PLEASE, introduce yourself in the comments below… tell us about what exciting things you want to learn about or what YOU think we should be focusing on. We’re going to start a few mini projects shortly (the first one will start in the next few weeks), and I’d love to make it as relevant to as many people as I can.
Thanks for reading/listening/looking – it’s so awesome to have you here, this is going to be EPIC!
